| Paige Bennett was Mrs. Tennessee 2004. In October of 2010, her husband Dave was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS). He is now in the late stages of this disease. At the time he was diagnosed, his company was in the middle of changing insurance carriers. He was left "uninsured due to pre-existing condition".
